Dhanatrayodashi/ Dhanteras Festival Information.
Dhanatrayodashi is the typical Indian festival celebrated by all Indians in very joy. Dhanatrayodashi (in sanskrit धनत्रयोदशी) Or dhanteras (in hindi धनतेरस) is the first day that Mark's the diwali festival in India.
Dhanatrayodashi is celebrated in krishnapaksh ( dark fourth night) on thirteenth lunar day. On the occassion of dhanatrayodashi all Indians worship all the jwellery and expensive ornaments in their homes like gold ornaments, cars, diamond, and others. This festival comes in kartik month of hindu calendar. This festival is known to be the stating of diwali festival in India.
To be very Gladys that not only India but also many others countries to celebrates the Diwali Festival in very joy and happiness. It means that almost hole World celebrates Diwali during this season. Which is starting form dhanatrayodashi.
On occasion of dhanatrayodashi many god and goddess worshipped in which dhanwantari is the main god who worship on this day. The festival celebrated as lakshmipuja which is performed in evening and lamps of clay are lit which known as diyas or In sanskrit We called it as Diva. On this day at night the lights are set out every night both in sky lamp and diyas in front of house, doorway and mainly in front of tulsi plant.
On dhanatrayodashi goddess Lakshmi came out form the ocean of milk during the churning of sea hence goddess Lakshmi is worshipped on the day of dhanatrayodashi.
